My inspiration

The following is a list of people. things, and events that have inspired me and still inspire me to paint.

My first true experience with art. When I was in high school I took two years of an art class. It still inspires me to think of how I cherished that one hour a day - at the time I would draw anything I could. We once had a student wearing jeans sit as a model on a table while we sketched against time. Drawing lines that came together to produce a sketch blew me away!

Once I was completely saturated by science courses so I enrolled in a summer art class at university. What really inspired me was the freedom we were granted to produce art pieces without any prior knowledge or technical direction. The "critiques" gave me the confidence and guidance I needed to produce.

Homeira Mortazavi's studio sessions. I sat for three years with this wonderful and passionate artist in Westmount Quebec.

My own student Jocelyne who inspires me by listening and producing.
